BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Work has begun on a new $4 million project to bring additional park space, trails and landscaping to the area along the Lake Erie shoreline near the Times Beach Nature Preserve.

The money comes from the New York Power Authority. It’s the site of where the old ice boom used to sit.

Congressman Brian Higgins was joined by Lieutenant Governor Robert Duffy and Mayor Byron Brown when announcing the new plans.
