BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The group that wants to build a state-of-the-art stadium along Buffalo’s waterfront will make second presentation in downtown Buffalo Wednesday. They are trying to gain support from local leaders to make it the next home of the Buffalo Bills.
A meeting about the proposed stadium, with a retractable roof, will kick off at the Merriweather Library at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. It’s open to the general public.
A presentation excited several Erie County legislators Tuesday, but some legislators didn’t get straight answers to some very serious questions involving money.
CEO of the Greater Buffalo Sports and Entertainment Complex Nicholas Stracick said, “We know we're going to get the land. I'll tell you that right now. I know we're going to get the land.”
The developer says it needs the support of the Buffalo Common Council and the Erie County Legislature. Once the company has the land option, it will go the NFL and the Buffalo Bills to get their support.
