Pumpkinville welcomes Autumn

GREAT VALLEY, N.Y (WIVB) - Fall is in the air, and right around the corner! There's no better place to welcome in Autumn than by going to Great Valley's, Pumpkinville.

As it's opening day, Pumpkinville is ready to show off their many new attractions to their visitors.

The gourds are ripe for picking, and families will soon journey to the pumpkin farm in search of the perfect pumpkin.

Owners Dan and Diane Pawlowski and family are making their guests' visit to Pumpkinville even better this year with a new attraction called the "Hen House Five."

The animated puppet show can be found at the chicken barn featuring five "muppet-type" chickens where it can be seen every half-hour and lasts for approximately 10 minutes.

The show reminisces the TV show, Hee Haw with performances from Bubba, Free Range Frankie, Sunny Side Up, Freida Chicken and Melody Brothers as they crack jokes and sing songs.

“The chicken show is fun for all ages and a real draw. It’s a nice entertainment and it’s free," says the owners.

Another new addition to Pumpkinville are baby ponies just 3 months old. Those on the hayride will be able to see the ponies out in a back pasture. Visitors will have to keep their eyes peeled for the black and white filly female and the chestnut brown colt male.

Pumpkinville will soon be holding a "name the ponies" contest in the near future.

WESTERN NEW YORK'S OLDEST PUMPKIN FARM WILL BE OPEN DAILY FROM 9 UNTIL 7.
