Puppy burning case due in court

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The two Buffalo teens accused of trying to burn a puppy to death were back in court Monday afternoon.

Diondre Brown, 17, and Adell Zeigler, 19, are both charged with felony animal cruelty. Their case is now going to a grand jury. Prosecutors say the teens set a 16-week-old Jack Russell Terrier on fire.

The puppy, named Phoenix, is continuing to recover at the Buffalo Small Animal Hospital.
