BUFFALO, N.TY. (WIVB) - The end to the nationwide manhunt for Dr. Timothy Jorden still leaves many questions unanswered about Wednesday's deadly shooting of Jackie Wisniewski.
One thing we do know is that an off-duty Buffalo Police officer was seen outside Dr. Timothy Jorden's home Wednesday morning.
Hamburg Police took Martin Motley into custody for questioning after they found him leaving the doctor's home with his own gun, $5,000 in cash and a Rolex watch.
Motley's attorney responded with a statement Thursday night reading, “In the days prior to this incident, Officer Motley was suspicious about some of the behavior of Doctor Jorden, which included some unusual gift giving. He even inquired of family members to see if Doctor Jorden was okay. Then when Officer Motley heard about the shooting at ECMC, he tried to reach Doctor Jorden by telephone and texting but received no response. Whereupon, being concerned, he drove out to Dr. Jorden's house but could not find him. It was upon leaving the house that he was then stopped by the police and has cooperated fully with all law enforcement authorities."
Motley has been suspended without pay. Buffalo's Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda says Motley currently is not facing any charges, but it is possible he could face some in the future. Authorities will continue to investigate Motley's motives.
