Radio station throws turkey giveaway

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Thanksgiving dinner doesn't come cheap.

That's why a Buffalo radio station is helping out its loyal listeners this holiday season.

The first 50 visitors at the Eastern Hills Mall received a free turkey courtesy of Jack FM.

Program Director Joe Russo said, "We decided that for Thanksgiving, too often people are skipping over the Thanksgiving holiday and forgetting about Thanksgiving. They get right into the Christmas spirit. So we're giving our listeners free Turkey's Today."

Organizers say listeners began lining up nearly three hours before the giveaway started.
