CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Two people were involved in a morning crash causing both of their vehicles to go off the road in Chautauqua.

Driving at an unsafe speed on Hartfield-Stockton Rd., 75-year-old Joseph Mahoney's vehicle traveled off the icy roadway and overturned in a ditch. Hartfield rescue crews had to extract the operator from his vehicle who was trapped inside.

Approaching the scene of the accident, Ashley Draggett of Stockton did not slow down causing her vehicle to leave the road and hit a mailbox.

The road was closed for about an hour due to the accidents.
