KENMORE, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Kenmore Village Improvement Society welcomed residents that were anxious to get fit Saturday morning at the Cultural Center.
Get Fit Kenmore, a year-long program, was started to encourage people to become more aware of their physical health and emotional well-being.
Activities at the free event included ice skating, health screenings, giveaways, and much more. The active-goers could also add their own leaf on the Tree of Health that will be displayed throughout the year at different Kenmore locations.
KVIS President Melissa Foster, "We're asking everyone who comes in-- this tree is going to go around the village, for the whole year, and we're asking everyone to sign their name if they'd like, and what they hope to accomplish this year, as far as their wellness plans are concerned."
