BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Reverend Eric Johns finished his six day stretch of living on the streets today.
The Pastor of Buffalo Dream Center does this each year and uses the experience to raise awareness about the homeless.
He also showed a group of children the places where the homeless sleep and eat, including s bus terminal.
Pastor John is asking for support for his church's Boxes of Love Campaign that feeds families and distributes Christmas gifts.
"Next week we are going to start wrapping gifts and packing bags of food. About 3,000 families are going to get a turkey and a bag of food and 5,000 kids are going to get a wrapped Christmas gift, " said the Reverend.
The Boxes of Love Campaign needs volunteers. Anyone who wants to help can call the Buffalo Dream Center.
