Roads close for HARBORcenter work

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Drivers downtown need to be aware of road closures due to construction on the HARBORcenter property.

Starting Wednesday morning, a section of Perry Street, between Main and Illinois Streets, will be closed to all vehicular traffic. Additionally, a block of Washington Street, between Perry and Scott Streets, will also be closed to traffic. Sidewalks on Perry Street and Washington Street will remain open to pedestrians.

The Buffalo Sabres are opening the arena's parking ramp at no charge for patrons of the Sabres store and the arena box office for a maximum of two hours.

During First Niagara Center events, the Buffalo Police Department Traffic Division will control all affected intersections and will direct traffic.
