BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Roswell Park Cancer Institute held its fourth annual Breath of Life Celebration today at the Institute's Research Center.
Patients, their loved ones, and caregivers were invited to the event to learn about advances in diagnosis, treatment, research, and sponsorship.
Tricia Giambattista's whose husband has Stage 4 lung cancer says, "Stage 4 doesn't mean that that's the end. There's a lot of Stage 4 survivors out there, and for people not to be afraid to come to Roswell because you hear cancer and you don't want to go to Roswell because you won't get a different outcome. So this is our family."
It's estimated 160-thousand American's will die from lung cancer this year alone.
