Rowers step out for dry land competition

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Local rowing teams got out their oars Saturday for a competition on dry land.

The first annual Shamrock Row "regatta" was held Saturday in the Old First Ward Community Center.

The friendly contest let competitors work on their skills while celebrating the sport of rowing at the same time.

Rowing on the Buffalo River is expected to start back up in April.
