PEMBROKE, NY (WIVB) - Genesee County’s economic development group is saying “Cheese”. There is a lot to smile about with the expanding dairy business in Batavia and now Yancey’s Fancy Inc. is seeking to expand its plant by three-fold and swell its workforce
The cheese maker wants to expand its current 30,000 square foot plant in Pembroke to 102,200 square feet.
They are seeing approval from the Genesee County Economic Development Center and Empire State Development Corp.
Yancey’s puts a price tag of $7 million plus on the expansion. They would be expanding their workforce by up to 190 additional workers over the next few years.
