Batavia voters okay sale of Admin. Bldg.

School Administration Building sold for $500K

BATAVIA, NY (WIVB) - City of Batavia residents approved the sale of the Batavia School District's administration building on Monday.

The Board of Education has received and accepting an offer of $500,000 for the structure at 39 Washington Avenue.  However, the public had the final word on the sale.

The sale passed with a margin of 259 votes as 272 voted in favor (95.4%) of the sale compare to 13 that voted no (4.6%).

School administrative offices will be relocated to Batavia High School and Jackson Elementary.
