BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Senator Charles Schumer wants to pull the plug on a new federal decision that could cause your electricity bill to skyrocket.

Senator Schumer says a recent move by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission does not allow companies with more efficient power plants to sell electricity at a lower rate.

Senator Schumer is calling for the FERC to go back to the drawing board and create a plan that would prevent rate hikes.
