Sedita: pleased but not surprised

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita is reacting to Dr. James Corasanti's sentence Thursday morning.

Corasanti was sentenced to one year in jail, a $1,000 fine, an ignition interlock device for one year and has had his driver's license revoked for six months.

Sedita says he is pleased with the sentence, but not surprised.

Corasanti was sentenced Thursday morning for misdemeanor DWI, relating to the hit-and-run crash that killed Alix Rice.

A jury found Corasanti guilty of a misdemeanor DWI and acquitted him of five felony charges he faced, for an incident that killed 18-year-old Alix Rice.
