BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Seneca Nation of Indians wants to help fix up the neighborhood surrounding the downtown casino.
Tuesday morning, the Seneca Nation announced $1 million in grants for neighborhood improvements around the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino.
More than $760,000 will go toward landscaping, infrastructure, and a bicycle program along the waterfront. The grants will go to 15 public and private sector projects.
The Seneca Nation and the Seneca gaming corporation are also committing more than 235-thousand dollars for neighborhood lighting and new signs.
