BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - With a "code blue" in effect, the Buffalo City Mission and St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy are offering food, shelter, and clothing for those who need it.
The two locations have set up cots and bedding as well as a warm meal for anyone braving the cold with nowhere to go.
Gino Grasso, an Associate Missionary from St. Luke’s said, “A lot of people are unsure about themselves and they just are afraid of spending the night somewhere other than where they feel comfortable. Even though is not necessarily safe or warm, it's hard to convince people to change, just for a night, but we work on it.”
The beds are available from 8 p.m. tonight to 8 a.m. Wednesday morning. They are always available during a "code blue" warning.
