Couple's alleged dispute leads to chase

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An apparent verbal dispute between a couple turned into a police pursuit late Wednesday night. The incident closed Route 33 between Humboldt Parkway and Route 198 around 11 p.m. for a short time.

Police say there was a shots fired call in the Delsan Court area, in an incident involving 27-year-old Jacob Gray and his girlfriend. Officers say Gray, of Cheektowaga, and his girlfriend were in an apparent verbal dispute.

According to police, officers recovered a gun that was thrown from the suspect’s vehicle near Route 33 and Humboldt, and then apprehended the suspect near Route 33 and Harlem Road.

Gray is facing several charges including resisting arrest and criminal possession of a weapon.
