Six year old girl donates to homeless

WEST SENECA, NY (WIVB) - Eva Messinger is only 6 years-old but has found a way to help those in need while having a fun time with her friends.

The Elma girl has donated all of her birthday presents to "Family Promise of Western New York" which helps rescue local homeless families.

Eva's friends and classmates gathered for her birthday party at the West Seneca YMCA pool but she didn't take her presents home with her.

Her mother tells News 4 that Eva was inspired to donate by a book about giving back.
