BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Overnight into Monday, the latest round of lake effect snow impacted western New York. Slick roads in southern Erie County were giving drivers trouble.
Driver Zach Aranson said, "Then we got back in the car, warmed up again, pushed about four more times, pushed it up two more hills."
Drivers Rachel Lis and Ben Lingenfelter said, “Slippery. Yeah, definitely not something you want to be on if you don't need to be. Not plowed."
>> A Lake Effect Snow Advisory will go into effect for Southern Erie, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties from 7 p.m. Monday until 1 a.m. Tuesday and Orleans county until 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Plow drivers say they have been at it around the clock. Joe Decke, of Nature’s Pride Landscaping, said, “Been out for four hours now, probably be out for another 20 after that. Longer, if it doesn't stop."
If you have to head onto roadways, be careful.
Driver Anneliese Osgood said, “Definitely drive slow, no reason to be in a hurry. And take it easy around turns, learn your car and how to control it."
