Snowboarders, skiers thrilled over snow

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - You may not like to drive when there’s a lot of snow, but if you enjoy winter sports this weather is just right for you. After a let down of a winter this year, skiers and snowboarders are ecstatic for this snow storm.

Snowboarder Skylr Carrow said, “Today is a hundred times better than any day last year. Last year it was pretty much all icy and manmade so we were hoping for the big storm this year.”

So as soon as the flakes started to fall, people hit the slopes at Kissing Bridge.

Carrow said, “It's beautiful, it's like champagne powder, you can't get much better than this. Hopefully its like this all year.”

A father and daughter were anxious to take advantage of the fresh snow. They said there is a lot of powder coming down fast, they called it,  “really fun.”

Snowboarder Dylan Szafranski said, “It's a good snowfall we've got coming through, so the storm is great. It's getting a lot of good snowboarders and skiers out here.”

Szafranski said, “The conditions are finally worth coming out theres some powder out there so it's pretty good.”
