A truck driver from Cincinnati had to stop driving because the winds were too much for his empty trailer. Mike Aldridge said, “I don't wanna get out here and cause an accident and somebody get killed or whatever. It just ain't worth it. Just shut 'em down and stay off the roads.”
Collins native William Kendall offered advice for those who are digging out Friday morning, "shovel down hill."
For those in need of a hot meal and a warm place to sleep, a code blue is in effect through Sunday.
