Special mass held to celebrate Advent

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Catholics across Western New York were marking the start of Advent today.

The city's news Bishop, Richard Malone was at Saint Joseph's Cathedral in Buffalo today to celebrate a special mass for the religious holiday.

Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas, and ends on Christmas Eve.

Bishop Kmiec will be the celebrant for next Sunday's mass at the Cathedral.
