CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Hundreds of Hospice volunteers are spending their Saturday putting together more than 33,000 flower bouquets for next week's annual Spring Bouquet Sale.
The popular sale has raised over $4 million dollars for Hospice Care in Erie County over the past quarter century.
Rose Collins from Hospice Buffalo said, "This sale is our biggest community wide event with over 500 volunteers, 450 companies, and schools helping us out. The money really supports direct patient care. Over 700 patients a day are cared for by Hospice in homes, hospitals, nursing homes and at our Hospice Campus and in-patient units."
Bouquets will be sold at First Niagara Bank branches in Erie County as well as select Dunkin' Donuts and Wendy's locations. Find out more.
The organizations biggest community wide fundraiser starts March 6th and runs until the 9th.
