BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The New York State Department of Transportation says they are evaluating the option of removing traffic signals at two Buffalo intersections.

Studies will evaluate the possible removal of traffic signals at the intersections of US Route 20 (Broadway) at Mortimer Street, US Route 20 (Broadway) at Spring Street, and Elm Street at North Division Street in the city of Buffalo.

To determine whether or not the traffic signals are necessary, they will be placed in flashing operation for 90 days, while traffic volume and accident data is studied.
