BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - It's safe to say Buffalo has been slightly spoiled this winter season, that is, up until this week of course.
Snow covered roads during Thursday morning’s commute caused many accidents and backups on major roadways.
Cars were bumper to bumper on Route 33 in Buffalo and were backed up for miles.
Ironically enough, after all of the weather we’ve been getting this week, Thursday is the first day there was no lake effect snow or winds warnings.
This time, the cause was from snow drifting off Lake Ontario into Niagara and Erie County.
Normally, Buffalonians can handle a good amount of snow but the fact that it came suddenly during this mornings commute, caught many off guard which caused many to go off the road.
