CLYMER, N.Y. (WIVB) - Funeral arrangements have been finalized for the Clymer School Superintendent. Wednesday morning, News 4’s Brittni Smallwood spoke with Keith Reed's mom and daughter about his sudden death.

His mom Shirley was too upset to do a recorded interview, but she says it's just unimaginable everything that is going on and that there will never be anyone like her son.

Family members of the slain Clymer School Superintendent are distraught. Fifty-one-year-old Keith Reed leaves behind three daughters, Megan, Allison and Katelynn, who was recently married. Katelynn spoke on behalf of the family. She says her dad was simply amazing.

Katelynn said, “I talked to him every single day. He was the best father that anyone could ever ask for. And he was always there whenever we needed something.”

Reed was found murdered in the front yard of his Town of Clymer home on Monday. But he hadn't been seen since Friday.

Reed's family says he'd been packing for a teaching conference in Albany when the murder took place. His mother, Shirley says whoever did this didn't take anything from the house. The family can't fathom who did this because so many people loved Reed.

Katelynn said, “I don’t understand. I don’t know who would have done that. We have no idea.”

Since authorities found Reed's body, they've been searching for evidence to help them break the case. Chautauqua County Sheriff's Deputies, State Police and the FBI are working together on it.

Forensic teams have combed through Reed's home. Authorities also had an autopsy performed. The results confirm Reed was murdered, but the sheriff won't reveal how many time's he was shot or what type of weapon was used. But he says they're doing everything they can to solve this.

“At this time we’re looking at everything and anything,” said Joseph Gerace of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. “We’re searching every inch of the property, looking for anything related to the crime.”

Calling hours for Reed are at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home in Salamanca, on Wednesday from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday in the United Congregational Methodist Church at 2 p.m.
