Teams cancel games to avoid LeRoy

LEROY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Fears are forcing events to be canceled in LeRoy. Several basketball games this weekend have now been called off, because the visiting teams don’t want to venture into town.

Some of the games involved Catholic youth teams from Rochester.

LeRoy has made international headlines, after a group of students came down with a tic-like condition, which has been diagnosed as “conversion disorder.”

Some believe toxic chemicals are to blame, but the root cause is still a mystery.
