BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An 18-year-old student is accused of threatening to use a weapon, at Bennett High School. Police say Adrianna Hunley posted on Facebook the she was going to use a weapon at her school. She is now facing terroristic threat charges.

Court-released documents show her Facebook conversation with a friend. Here are some of the exact posts:

Hunley writes, “bennett gettin shot up tomorrow. im just go tel you that now.”

Her friend responds by saying, “What time Don’t Shoot Me.”

Hunley replies, “I hope all my friend that go their don’t be in the way cuz I’m dropin bodies.”

Buffalo Police began investigating this Wednesday night. By 3 a.m. Thursday morning, Hunley was arrested.

Buffalo Teachers Federation President Phil Rumore said, “That was an excellent reaction by police and the schools to do that. You can’t take a chance and say well, it’s just a threat. No because what if she had carried it through.”

When Hunley was asked by police why she wrote the post, she said she “guessed out anger.”

Rumore says students and faculty need to be safe when they’re at school. He alerted us to another student incident that he says  took place on Wednesday at Buffalo’s Alternative High School.

“A student beat up the assistant principal and punched him in the face. He may have a broken nose. It was a violent occurrence,” said Rumore.

Rumore says school should consistently do safety drills to practice what to do if a student or outside intruder tries to harm anyone in the school.

He also suggests that every school door should be able to lock on the inside, and disciplining students when incidents happen.

Rumore said, “If there’s a student with a problem you need to get that student assistance. Just suspending a student doesn’t solve the problem. We have to figure out what’s the problem and get the student the help they need.”
