BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Johnson family is happily sharing news of their injured daughter's recovery.
Nineteen-year-old Katie Johnson was burned when her Wilson home exploded on July 24th and since that time she has remained in the ECMC burn unit. But on Thursday, the Johnson family reported that Katie has now been moved the rehab floor.
For the first time in nearly a month, members of her family can hear Katie speak, though her voice remains faint. And though she still needs help getting around, her family says they believe Katie will be walking around in no time.
