Temps melt snow cover at Holiday Valley

ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Snow lovers will have to wait a bit longer to hit the slopes at Holiday Valley. This mild weather has melted away the snow cover, so it's going to take some cooler days and a whole lot of snow making to build that base up again.

Jane Eshbaugh from Holiday Valley said, “We were very close to being able to open last weekend. But the man made snow is very durable, it’s much more dense than natural snow, as you can see out here the snow that you see on the slopes is all man made. All we have to do is get a couple more nights of good snow making weather and we’ll be back in business.”

The snow making is set to resume once the temperature drops.
