BUFFALO, NY (release) - The Better Business Bureau Board of Directors voted to revoke the accreditation of the following businesses:
BBB serving Upstate New York manages nearly 50,000 business reports and 6,000 of these are BBB Accredited. Each report provides a BBB rating which is carefully comprised from 16 different background elements that include the company’s size, time in business, and how they respond to and resolve customer complaints.
“Not every business is eligible for BBB Accreditation. It is an honor reserved for businesses that earn this distinction through their own ethical business practices,” said Warren Clark, Better Business Bureau President. “Our standards require they resolve each dispute brought to their attention and our board has no option but to revoke their accreditation when they fail to do so.”
Revocation of BBB accreditation occurs following an involved and careful review led by the BBB Ethics & Standards Committee and the BBB Board of Directors.
BBB Accredited firms must consistently maintain all BBB Standards for Trust -as well as maintain a grade of B or higher. Expulsion from the BBB also results in termination of BBBOnLine affiliation.
