BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo's VA Hospital hosted their 12th annual Thanksgiving dinner for homeless and needy veterans Sunday afternoon.
Volunteers picked up some of the veterans from designated locations to ensure they made it to the dinner.
The dinner is a big "thank you" to the vets for their service.
Organizer of the event, Judith Kaczmarek says, "This is just one small way that we can give back to our veterans. It's serving America's heroes today. That's what we're doing today and it's one small way of giving back to them."
The VA served up about 150 meals at the dinner today which was about the same number as last year.
