CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Girl Scout cookies made its grand appearance in Western new York today after ten semi-trailers of cookies arrived at the Eastern Hills Mall in Clarence.
Many volunteers and troops came out to help sell the delicious treats.
Tammy Dziuba who was a volunteer at the mall today says, "Troops started picking up their cookies Thursday night, last night, today and then one more delivery stop tomorrow. The Girl Scouts then will be out delivering in their neighborhoods and actually Monday, Veterans' Day, through December 8 will actually be out in the shopping centers, in the mall, outside of home stores, maybe a church, selling cookies."
Troops can decide what to do with their cookie profits whether they want to take a trip to Girl Scout Camp in Georgia, or donate the money for Sandy Relief.
