BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Day five of the manslaughter trial of Dr. Corasanti got off to a late start Thursday.

The trial has been getting underway each morning at 10 a.m, but Thursday a court security officer said there was a slight delay. Later, News 4 learned a defense attorney wanted larger television monitors so he could clearly see the evidence that was being presented during the trial.

Another issue Thursday morning was a juror, who had trouble getting to court because of a mechanical issues with their vehicle.

The last thing that happened in the trial, on day four, was when a neighbor of Corasanti’s testified. That neighbor had seen Corasanti after the crash last July on Heim Road, and he had said that Corasanti said he wanted to hurt himself and was visibly shocked after the incident.
