KENMORE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Two school buses collided, sending one crashing into a building Tuesday  morning in Kenmore.

The northbound lane on Military Road was blocked off as police and fire crews assessed damage. Later, a tow truck pulled the two buses away, revealing the added damage to the building.

Authorities say a bus was trying to make a right turn onto Military Road, then crashed into the second bus. The force from the crashed cause one to slam into a building. No one was inside during the incident, but the crash destroyed a window and wall.

The collision didn’t seriously harm any of the 32 students that were riding aboard one bus.

Kenmore Fire Department Captain Felix Coniglio said, “They were transported to another bus and the kids, there were seven that bumped their heads.”

A third school bus came and took most of the students to school at the Charter School for Applied Technology. Seven children with minor injuries waited at the crash site for their guardians to arrive.

Karen Yager was one of those parents and she told News 4 she was called about the news early Tuesday morning.  “They were pretty informative on the call. Letting me know that she was okay. I was a little shook up. But I was trusting that she was okay," she said.
