AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - The University at Buffalo conducted a large-scale earthquake simulation Tuesday morning.
The experiment was designed to see how well New York City brownstones would hope up to an earthquake. Students worked for months to prepare for the test.
"Just think about working two years or two and a half years for a goal and it's all over and done with in 20 seconds," said Dept. of Engineering Chair Dr. Andrew Whittaker.
The test was designed to simulate the 2011 Virginia quake that shook the East Coast.
