Ugly Christmas sweater 3K walk

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Many people enjoyed the "Ugly Sweater 3K Walk" and holiday party held in Williamsville on Saturday.

Those who took part in the festive and not so stylish event, walked through part of the village in their most ghastly-looking sweaters while enjoying music and hot chocolate.

The event supports "Kawelles" Missions of Sustainable Trades for Kenya.

Dan Corrigan of Kawelle says, "The first year what were going to be doing is building a campus that will teach this rural community how to build websites. So, were bringing electricity to them, computers to them, and they'll be creating websites for anyone in the entire world from this rural village in Kenya."

Santa was also at the event assisting people pushing a vehicle back toward the nearby street.
