BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - Buffalo's oldest running tavern and restaurant, Ulrich's Tavern has been shut down by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
The landmark eatery has a sign posted, saying it will reopen Monday August 6th.
The restaurant, at 674 Ellicott Street, was seized by the Tax Department. The business has warrants against it for more than $215,000 in taxes.
