BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - Remains of an unidentified female were found on July 10 in the lower Niagara River in the Town of Lewiston. The United States Coast Guard removed the body that is estimated to have been in the water for three to five days.
The victim is identified as a white female with brown/grey hair, ranging from 40-55 years of age, standing 5’04 to 5’05, and weighing about 156 lbs.
The body is now in the hands of the Erie County Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy being examined by Niagara County Coroner, Robert Rutland.
Anyone with a missing person matching the description is asked to contact the New York State Park Police at 716-278-1777.
