BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - According to the Erie County Board of Elections, Senator Tim Kennedy has defeated challenger Betty Jean-Grant in the Democratic primary race for the 63rd State Senate District.
Commissioner Dennis Ward tells News 4 Kennedy had 11,456 votes, while Jean-Grant had 11,270, winning the race by 186 votes. These results are for now still unofficial, as they have not been certified by a judge.
