JAMESTOWN, NY (WIVB) - Jamestown Police say that one of their officers was bitten while trying to book a young woman at police headquarters.

Mallory White, 20,  was charged with second-degree assault.  Officers say she also caused several hundred dollars worth of damage to a patrol car and garage door.

White was arrested around 7:30 a.m. Monday for allegedly causing $250 in damage to a garage door on E. Second Street.

When transporting her to the precinct house White allegedly smashed the rear door of the patrol car causing about $700 in damage.
