HARTLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) - A vacant house in the Town of Hartland went up in flames Friday.

A passerby called the Niagara County Sheriff's office just after 10 p.m Friday reporting that a house was on fire on Quaker Road.  Hartland and Baker Fire Companies extinguished the fire.

The home is owned by a Tonawanda man and is currently vacant.

The fire started in the rear interior wall and damaged the north side of the roof and north east corner of the structure.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.  So far, no damage estimates at this time.
