Vehicle slams into hydrant, pole, box

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - An Orchard Park teen is lucky to be alive following a chaotic crash Sunday morning in the southtowns.

Police believe the 17 year old was drunk and speeding when he slammed into a fire hydrant, light pole, two signs, three trees and a large flower box along North Buffalo Road. The vehicle involved in the crash was destroyed.

The teen's name has not been released. He was taken to ECMC for treatment. The charged with DWI common law, DWI Combined drugs and alcohol, imprudent speed, open container, operating on a DJ license, unlawful possession of marijuana and alcohol, and other traffic violations. Additional charges are pending the results of a blood test.
