BUFFALO, N.Y (WIVB) - Thousands of Western New Yorkers walked together to help end a disease that affects over 5 million Americans.
The walk to end Alzheimer's took place at five different locations Saturday morning, including Delaware Park in Buffalo.
Those who walked at Delaware Park today, also got to see a special memorial garden for patients.
Alzheimer's Association Director of Marketing Jennifer Gallardo says, " There's 4 colors and each one represents a different reason why people are walking today, whether they have Alzheimer's currently, they're caregivers, or supporting those affected by Alzheimer's."
This weekend and next weekend, the Western New York Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is expected to raise 320 thousand dollars.
