NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - It took years to clear some legal hurdles but the world's largest retailer is now opening its doors in North Tonawanda.

A new Walmart super center is set to open later Wednesday morning. It's located at Niagara Falls Boulevard and Erie Avenue, the site of the old Melody Fair.

The new store is also helping create 300 jobs in the area.
