Wheel falls off plane in Toronto

TORONTO, Ont. (WIVB) - There was another incident involving a plane mishap this weekend, this one in Toronto.

The Toronto Star reports that no one was injured but a landing gear wheel fell off on an Air Canada Jazz plane at Toronto’s Pearson Airport.

The incident happened on Sunday.  The right wheel on the nose gear loosened while the plane was taxing to the terminal. 

The pilots were reportedly in total control of the propeller plane at all times and the plane was able to fly to its destination in North Bay, Ontario.

There were 72 passengers aboard at the time.
