BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The sights and sounds were stunning Sunday, for thunderstorm watchers across western New York. While the storms blew through pretty quickly the clean up will take some time.

Whipping winds tore down trees and electrical wires across western New York . At one point Sunday, NYSEG and National Grid collectively reported 10,000 customers without power across Erie County.

But, thanks to hard working crews, most people had their power restored before dinner.
