BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - First Niagara will be shifting hundreds of workers across the four -state area in its coverage area.
The Buffalo News reports that the financial group is cutting the Number 2 position in most of its branches because that position no longer is necessary for its business strategy. In most cases the bank is reporting it will find new positions for these managers/
The bank is focusing more on customer sales and expenses to boost revenues.
First Niagara is not revealing the exact number of employees affected but it currently has 346 branches in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
